Pipeno Launch Contest

Please note the new voting procedure (it's free and no need for the audience to register!) and contestants can now enter one entry per category.

Winners will be announced on our Pipeno Fan Page on Facebook on November 8, 2010.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

This contest is as much about using Pipeno features to build audiences for your work, as it is about publishing. Our goal is also to help you develop the psychology of investing as much effort into marketing your work as you spend creating it. In addition to built-in SEO and other features, Pipeno's offline and online marketing activities will expose your work to new audiences. However, we advise that you too use Pipeno's social media features, the tips and tricks mentioned on the Best Practices & Insights page, and other creative marketing methods you can think of to draw attention to your work as well.

There should be at least 25 reactions and 3 contestants per category for your entry to count.

Eligibility

1. No Purchase Necessary To Enter Or Win.
2. This contest is open to anyone in the world who registers with Pipeno. Registration is free. Contest is open to all who are, as of time of entry, 18 years of age or older. Employees, officers, and directors of Pipeno, Inc., their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
3. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

HOW TO ENTER

1. Go to Pipeno Launch Contest Entry Page.
2. Fill out the form with your correct information, specify your niche (verify if your are writing a short story or poem), and click on the Category you believe suits your content (select Unique Interest for short stories or poems).
3. Read the of Terms of Service and check the box.
4. Click "Submit."
5. Within the next 24 hours, you will get an invite from pipenolaunchcontest.pipeno.com to become a writer.
6. Make sure you are logged into your Pipeno account before accepting the invitation.
7. Login to pipenolaunchcontest.pipeno.com.
8. You will now have two tabs as both an "End User" and a "Writer".
9. You will remain a Writer until your content gets published (your Writer tab will be removed once you have entered an entry into every category).
10. To enter your content, click on the Writer tab.
11. Click on "My Articles".
12. Click on "Write".
13. Write your content, and edit it accordingly. Each contestant can only enter ONE article per category for the whole contest.
    NOTE: No edits will be made to the article. If eligible, it will be entered as it was subitted.
14. The entry must be approximately 500-1000 words and written in English (With the exception of the Unique Interest category where short stories and fiction have a limit of 2000 words and poetry has a minimum of 100 words).
15. SELECT THE PROPER CATEGORY(if you do not clarify which category you are entering your entry will be rejected; the article will be waiting for correction under the "Writer" tab, as "Rejected", where you can select the correct category and re-submit)
    
16. For extra benefit, we strongly urge you to add images, and if you would like, a video from YouTube related to your content.
17. You can make your article text dominant, photo, or video content, depending on the focus of your content.
    
18. You are allowed one entry into each category. If you choose to submit an entry into every category, you will be removed as a writer; your "End User" tab will remain.
19. The new voting procedure will count all "Reactions" to your entry.
    **Voting will no longer require anyone to register with Pipeno.  To win an iPad or Kindle the winning entry will be determined by the number of “Reactions” it gets**
    
    

DURATION

1. Unless otherwise specified by Pipeno, Inc., the contest will be held from Monday, August 2, 2010, 12 p.m. EST to Friday, October 29, 2010 12 p.m. EST when the contest will close itself from all participants.
2. Voting will continue to Friday November 5, 2010, 11:59 p.m. EST.

RESTRICTIONS

1. Mail-in entries will not be accepted.
2. Each contestant may only enter once in each category.
3. No Automatic Entries Allowed.
4. Electronic entries must be received by Pipeno no later than Contest End Date.

SELECTION OF WINNER

1. Contest winners will be notified by the email they have provided, as well as being announced November 8th (Monday following the last day of voting), on Pipeno's Fan Page on Facebook (you can become a fan for more updates).
2. The winner (writer of the article that generates most Reactions) will be shipped an iPad at the address they provide. The winner must provide accurate shipping address when notified by email that they have won.
3. The winners from each remaining category, writers of articles that generate the most Reactions, will be shipped a Kindle Wireless Reading Device.
   NOTE: Winner of iPad wins in their respective category; there will be no Kindle Wireless Reading Device winners for that specific category.
4. Any prizes that are awarded and mailed out that are lost in transit are no longer the responsibility of Pipeno, Inc.

PARTICIPATION

1. By participating in the Contest, participants agree to release and hold Pipeno, Inc., Sponsors and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of Pipeno, Inc., Sponsors, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
2. Pipeno reserves the right to change the contest rules, terms and/or conditions while the contest is in progress.
